Growing up in the rural countryside of Exeter, Rhode Island, I spent my childhood almost entirely outdoors. Since then, I have been an organic farmer, a Peace Corps Volunteer, a tradesman, and now a photographer. I’m also founding director of Joy of Community Foundation, 501(c)(3), which does community development work in the village where I lived for two years in Uganda. I am also a husband and a father, living in South Kingstown, RI.

My approach to photography is one in which I like to immerse myself in the elements so that I can bring those feelings I experience to the viewer. We live in a profoundly beautiful area - with dark skies, clean waters, and rich biodiversity. I consider it a priviledge to capture these things with my camera and promote their conservation through it.

I use a Fujifilm GFX 100s camera, combined with a SkyWatcher Star Adventurer star tracker for nightscapes, or an Aquatech underwater housing when I'm in the ocean.
