Near the Milky Way core region is the Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex, an interstellar region containing dark nebulae among other types. It's my favorite part of our galaxy to photograph, and one of the nearest star-forming regions to our solar system.

The series of exposures required to produce this image took about two hours, between 2:30 and 4:30am, next to Narrow River in Narragansett in late March of 2023.
